How to get back trust

i was on the phone with my girlfriend and idk somehow we got talking i told her i made otu with my pillow. now i was very tired. and i forgot that once i accutally did this so i seriously thought i was just joking. so i said im just joking i never did that and she goes yes u have u told me now i dont trust u. and im like but i really thought i didnt i forgot about that and shes like ur lieing to me again and for some reason i agreed idk why i was so tired. i mean she wouldnt have beleived me if i told her that i seriously forgot about it but now im screwed she wont beleive me at all about this and now she doesnt trust me how do i rebuild the trust. i feel like an asshole now. i mean we built up all this trust and i destroyed it in2.0 seconds cuz i was tired. im crying so bad right now. this was 2 hours ago i prolly wont sleep at all today.

If you were tired, she was probably tired too and said some things she didn't mean. The best way to settle this is to tell her you want to clear the air and give her the completely truthful story. If she cares for you at all, she will forgive you for the confusion and things will return to normal.
