Ask her to go out

Theres this girl I like. We talk as friends and we flirt alot and i think she likes me. Anyway about a month ago we decided to play a joke on her friends by telling them we were going out. We still havent told them were joking. now a month has passed and we still talk but we are both shy and dont mention us as a couple. but i want to tell her that i want to go out as a real couple. hows the best way to bring the topic up in front about her.

Wait for the right moment and say to her "Well this is our xx month of going out together... guess that makes it for real. Right?"

This will make it seem playful but at the same time ask a real question. If she says yes then tell her how happy you are but not in a joking way just so you both know you are not joking.

Have something planned for you to do to cement the new relationship... or at least have some mushy card or present to give her.
