Fading feelings

I really like one of my close friends. Sometimes i think that he likes me, and other times i'm not sure. When ever i see him he always greets me with a big hug. He tells me all the time that he loves me, sadly not in a romantic way i don't think. He is so sweet and kind. I don't want to ruin our friendship, because i really value it. But, i can't be confused about it forever. Latley i have felt like me feelings for him are fading, but i'm really confused. Please help!

The easiest way to end the confustion about his feelings is to ask him how he feels about you or tell him how you feel yourself. I recommend this because you both seem to have a close relationship already. On the other hand, you say your feelings for him are fading. That is a reason to hold back on saying anything to him. Perhaps the best course of action is to continue waiting and see how your feelings for him develop.
