The Girl from New York
Visitor's Question from a 13-15 year old Female
I live in new york, but the guy i like lives in Israel. I go to Israel each summer and this is the first time i have developed feelings for him. I've seen hime twice this summer and i cant get him off my mind. he is 2 years older than me and i asked him who he liked, he gave me a name. all my friends keep saying ask him out the worst that can happen is he'll say no. the guy is a REALLY close family friend and i dont know if i should ask him out or not, i know i only see him like once a year but we talk a lot online and i dont want to make anyithing awkward happen. i've been flirting with him, and i have read a lot of flirting tips so i think he is flirting back. talk about mixed signals. so, should i ask him out for one night and go back to ny, or should i just keep fantasizing?
"Nothing ventured nothing gained." Sure, why not ask him out? As your
friends suggest, the worst thing that can happen is he says no. Warning,
however, long-distance romances are very difficult.
