You ask her opinion of lesbians and gays and you find out her attitude first. Don't go admitting love to someone whose religion thinks it's evil. If she says that it's all ok, then flirt with her a little. See if she responds to it. Touch her arm, joke around with her and get closer to her. Then one day, take her aside and say, "you know, I've always had a crush on you" and see how she responds.

All in all, it's very similar to how to pick up a guy. Just it's a little trickier. But it's still doable.
