i just want things to go back to the way they were.

Visitor's Question from a 13-15 year old Female
I am having problems with my boyfriend, the last couple weeks i havent seen him at all, were usually next to inseperable. but lately hes been lying to me, promises me things and breaks those promises, stands me up, and jus deliberatly goes out of his way to avoid me when i do talk to him he has some kind of lame excuse of why he hasnt been able to see me that he "promises" that he'll see me today and stands me up again. I dont know if it me or if its him. Im not controlling even the slightest, i have been understanding about everything throughout this entire relationship even if i dont agree with it. I jus want to be able to be there for him but it feels like hes pushing me away and i dont what i did for him to push me away. I care about him so much i want to try to make this work but im jus tired of crying tired of feeling bad i jus want things to go back to the way they were. what should i do?

RomanceClass.com Advice
Since you're in a relationship, honesty should be at the core of it. Sit him down and tell him that you want an honest talk with him about what's going on. Tell him that you're not there to blame or argue, you just want to know where things stand so that you can take the appropriate actions. If he's looking to break up with you but doesn't know how to say it, then this is an opportunity for you to find out. Better than wondering, though it does hurt. But it may also be that he's got other issues bothering him, whether school or work or whatever, and he's needed his own space for a while. The open discussion can help this. Emphasize that you want to help him and that you want to feel better yourself. Communication is the only thing that's going to save this relationship.

I wish you the best!
