ok me and this guy are so close to going out and thats what i've wanted for a loong time.. but now i just find myself to afraid. like im trying to find flaws in him that arent even there just for an excuse not to go out with him. i like him but i dont.. if that even makes sense? all my friends just say that im scared to get into another relationship since my last one was such a train wreck..i want to be with him. were perfect for each other. so whats my problem?
help!!!

Your friends are dead-on right. You're trying to put some distance between you and him, you're trying to bring him down a notch so you can say that you don't want him anymore. But really you're just scared that you'll get hurt again. Just take it slow and easy and build into a good relationship instead of jumping in headlong and going too fast and crashing. With summertime coming up, hopefully you'll be able to spend more time together so you can work on making a great relationship between you two.
