i have been with my boyfriend for a year. we met off a local chat line on the phone. a few mos ago, i found out he would call these chatlines once in awhile for the 1st 6 mos we were together. he is 27 iam 25. i am his 1st girlfriend & he he is very insecure & depressed a lot (bipolar). he swears he never had any intentions of meeting these girls & i believe him. but now i am jealous of everything & always afraid he's doing things behind my back when im not around. hes very apologetic. i feel like he is only sorry bc he got caught. when little things taht come up that i dont understand or im insecure about it turns into a major fight. i want to learn how to be less jealous & trust him more. but im always afraid hes gonna do something behind my back. please help me!

That said, it sounds like your boyfriend is a little immature and needs to turn to these chat lines to get affirmations from the other people on them. You might want to consider stopping by a counsellor to look into whether this is an ongoing problem or whether it's something that is easily taken care of.
