I Flirt Too Much - Help Me Stop

Visitor's Question from a 13-15 year old Female
I have been going out with my boyfriend for 4 years but this last year has been very hard because he moved to another city. My problem is that I like attention from guys so I flirt A LOT. After I do the flirting I feel really bad because I trully love my boyfriend. I feel really guilty and I want to stop flirting and just concentrate on my true love.

How can I stop my flirtatious behavior I want to get rid of it now.I want to learn how NOT to care what other guys are thinking about me. Please help.

RomanceClass.com Advice
The problem is that you're leading these other guys on. They think they have a chance with you. What if you flirt with a guy who is really determined - and you decide you like him? Now you could easily end up cheating on your boyfriend or breaking up with him, because of your flirting.

I'm not saying that you have to turn into a nun. Some interaction with males is healthy :) But you're not making it sound like this is casual conversation.

It's time for you to take a good look at your situation. Are you really happy with the relationship you have, long distance? Many people simply need a "real life" boyfriend that is there to do things with. Maybe you can move out to be with him or find ways to be together more often. Make sure you have ample female friends to go out and do things with. Find other hobbies for yourself besides hanging out in bars and clubs :)
