He Kept Cheating and Is About to Cheat Again

Visitor's Question from a 21-30 year old Female
I have recently broke up with my ex of abut 4 or more years. We have a 3 year old son together and he wants me back. He has cheated on me since day one with numerous people he claims he has changed now and wants to devote himself to me and be with only me. Says that he realizes what he wants now and who he wants to be with and that he has changed and wants to give me everything that i deserve.

It is hard for me to believe him because of his past. He is currently seeing someone as I am too he has agreed to dump her for me but i feel bad about letting my new guy go. A piece of me wants to believe him and go back but the other part wants to realizes that maybe i deserve better. How can i know if what he says is for real now? How come I feel like I should be with him or should i move on is it cause i really love him??? I am a confused and tormented individual.

I completely feel for you here. The big issue is that he's seeing someone - he has a commitment to her - but he's saying "Well I'll dump her if you are a better choice". That is EXACTLY what he has been doing all along - but you were the one being disrespected. He hasn't learned a thing.

I would stick with the current boyfriend, and move on with your life. I know it's hard - but it's really for the best.
