everything is perfect apart from my jealousy.

Visitor's Question from a 13-15 year old Male
I have been with my girlfriend for 1 and a half months now and everything is perfect apart from my jealousy. I have told her what i am jealous over and how stupid it is. She reassures me she loves me but i need more reassurance but there is no way of getting more. I trust her but i ALWAYS have an inkling she fantasises about someone else like previous boys she fancied or who she thinks are good looking.She has told me she used to please herself over good looking boys. And i think she still does even though she is with me. I hate the thought of this but cant stop it. When i say she looks nice i think i build up her confidence and feeding her more knowledge on what boys like and so i think she will hang on to me but try and find someone else! HELP!

If you can't stop repetative thoughts of jealousy you may have more than just the standard self-esteem issues, in which case I recommend you speak to a counselor or therapist. This will not go away unless you get help and may even get worse.
