My former friend and I were almost in a close relationship when everything went to nothing. Six months went by without us speaking, then the other day, i get a message on MSN, and he needs someone to go this certain bar with him, and he wanted to know if I would go with him. He explained that he had already been there before.. but that now he wants me to go with him. So I am confused, was he asking me because he seriously needed someone else he knew to go with him, was he asking me out, does he want to have a relationship again? ..and i do still have some feeling for him. What do I do, talk?, but then what would I say?

To be honest, without more information, I don't know what his intentions are.
Some scenarios are:
1. He wants to see you again.
2. There is someone at the bar and he wants to make them jealous.
3. He may want to introduce you to someone.
4. He gets a discount if he brings someone to the bar.
