I Want to be More than a Friend

i dont know how to flirt, i think! but, how can i tell this girl, that i want to be more than her friend? should i just tell her or what, keep in mind i always think negative. plus there's alot of competiton in my school but only one real competiter. how do i go about telling her this without looking like i'm all on her jock (sweating her)

It rarely works well to just go up to a girl and blurt out that you want to date her. What works well is to show her by actions. Spend more time with her. Keep flirting with her. Become friends with her. Invite her to a movie as a friend. The more you build that connection, the more natural it will be to spend time every day with her and to work closer to that boyfriend-girlfriend situation.
