I Want Help in Solving Problems

Visitor's Question from a 21-30 year old Female
I have always had a problem to communicate with anyone because I never know what to say or how to explain myself fully. My boyfriend spoke to me about communication. He said it is one of the most important things in a relationship.I know he is right but I also know that I have no idea how to communicate with him. I tell him what I want but I can never give good reasons for him to do it. I can't be creative in ways of solving our differences.

The other day I told him I want him to stop drinking. All I said is that its bad for him and I would hate to see him drunk. Later he told me I could have said something like this .."when you feel like drinking call me and we could talk so that you can forget your craving". I just wish I was as creative and romantic as him. Please let me know how I can start thinking in a different way so I know how to solve problems in a more creative way.

The only way to learn how to do something is to practice every day. Creative thinking is no different. There are a ton of books out there on how to develop your creativity. Get a book or two from the library and work on it each day.
