Talking to a Girl

Visitor's Question from a 13-15 year old Male
There's a girl and I've never really talked to her. I think she's 13 or 14. I'm 14 and i failed so im in 8th grade and shes a freshmen so its kind of hard to talk to her.

She's in a higher grade but with her it might not matter. I gotta get with her. She's everything I'm interested in.

So how would i ever talk to her and I don't want to wait a year. Do you think I might have a chance? What should I do? How could I ever talk to her? Please help me, I really want her. But I don't know how to get her.

You make it sound like she's some sort of new computer game for you to get your hands on and take control of. She's a living, breathing human being! Girls are not about "having" and "getting". They are people you talk to, that you get to know, that you share your world with and they share theirs with you.

Heck, most people who flirt don't know anything at all about the flirtee. If you actually go to the same school that she does and see her daily, you have a huge advantage over most people who flirt! So take advantage of this time and proximity. I have a ton of tips on flirting here -

just flirt each day and build up the friendship. Let her get to know you, and get to know her better. That's how you start.
