He Was a Gentleman

Visitor's Question from a 21-30 year old Female
We met on a online dating service and have been talking for a little over two months, we have gone out three times and we frequently talk on the phone. There is mutual physical attraction, yet we have not kissed yet and he knows I'm not the type to give into sex that easy, yet he has remained interested.

Last Friday I threw a party at my house and got drunk, he showed up pretty late and since I had not seen him in 2 weeks (job schedules/he's in school) I hugged him pretty much the rest of the night, he was corresponding. I was pretty tipsy and told him that I really wanted to kiss him, but to my surprise he stopped me and said that he wanted me to be sober for our first kiss. I was shocked, especially since I have been taken advantage of for being drunk. He kissed me on the cheek and I kissed him back on the cheek and thats it. I called him the next day and left a voicemail apologizing for my behavior. He did not call back that day or every since. I also emailed him.

Its been 4 days and I have not heard from him. I know its xmas time and all and people are busy doing last minute shopping and being w/family, but did I ruin my opportunity with a truly respectful gentleman???

What do you think is going on?? is he fearing commitment??? Please give me advice.

It does sound like he was a little disturbed by your drunkenness. You've apologized, but I would really go meet him in person and talk about it. Just leaving email or voice mail messages doesn't really count as true discussion about an issue.
