I Cheated, We Broke Up, I Want him Back ... Sort Of
Visitor's Question from a 21-30 year old Female
Hi I have a big problem. Well I was with a guy for two years and things werent going so well, so I thought. And I ended up cheating on him (yes i know its bad) and I told him that I cheated on him, and my mother said that me cheating on him was just a way out of the relationship, because I ended up breaking up with him.
Well a few days ago I got a phone call and he wanted all of his things back so i gave them back and he gave me a bag full of personnal things that i had given to him while we were together. That night he called me, and lately I have been trying not to think about him because I know im still in love with him, but I don't want to be with him. When he called, we talked about our lives, and how everything is going, and then it got into me and him. He told me he still loves me, and he always will, and he thinks about me constantly, Well I feel the same way. But I honestly don't want to be with him right now, but I love him, and he loves me.
Whats my problem? What Should I do? Also, lately I have been a bit down because I feel like i gave up true love, Like what if he was the one I was supposed to be with...and I just gave it up. And Sometimes I feel like I'm never going to have a good meaningful relationship with anyone because my ex was the one I'm supposed to be with. I don't know what to do. Any advice would help. Thanx.
Life lasts decades. There's no need to rush here. If you both love each other, take your time and see how things work out. Many people take years to truly get to know each other and feel comfortable.
