Jealous of the Ex

Visitor's Question from a 21-30 year old Female
My boyfriend had a daughter who's a little over a year old, who he found out about a week after we started dating. His ex-girlfriend of a year broke up with him and moved with her family to another state w/o telling him that she was pregnant. According to their mutual friend that talks to both of them, my boyfriend's ex is mistreating their daughter, and their friend wants him to get custody. He's in the military right now and can't, but wants to. I'm not jealous at all of his daughter, none of this is her fault...but I am terrified if he goes to see his daughter, he's going to fall back in love with his ex (who he doesn't talk bad about at all). What should I do???

There are always going to be exs in peoples lives. You can't worry about all of them destroying your current relationship. If your relationship is strong enough, it can survive anything - including exs.
