My Ex is a Jerk

Visitor's Question from a 21-30 year old Female
I have been together with the man i love for about a year and i am totally crazy about him he told me that he is serious and that he wants to marry me and now he dumped me. My whole world went down because of that and i feel like i am going crazy without him. I feel like i am stuck on him and that without him i can't do anything, I also suffer from severe depression and i don't know what to do.

Now it has been 2 months since we are not officially together but we still see each other around town. I started to date another guy and that is when my ex start calling me on my cell phone and telling me that I am a cheater and also he figthed with the guy that i curently date.

This week he contacted me few times and because i still have so strong feelings for him i accepted to see him but the only thing he did was to hurt me with his words saying that he found somebody more beautifull than me and he is going to marry her. Of course that was just like an arrow in my chest.

I know that the best thing i can do is to never talk to him but i have these strong feelings for him and i am lost.

Wow, it sounds like you are SO lucky to have gotten rid of him. First he leaves you - and then he gets upset that you try to move on with your life - and then he torments you with news of HIS new girlfriend??

If you are feeling depressed, I would REALLY talk to a minister, or therapist, or someone else in your world. You deserve to have a friend there to support you and help you. It can easily take months to get over an ex, especially one who is as manipulative as this guy is. So give yourself time, don't expect those feelings to just vanish. But do stay away from him. His only aim in life is to hurt you, and that's the last thing you need. Enjoy your time with your new boyfriend, find a person to talk with and take care of yourself.
