NEVER, Ever Cheat

Visitor's Question from a 21-30 year old Female
I have been with my boyfriend for nearly four years now and we plan to get married in a few years when we are both done with school. I expect us to be engaged as early as this summer because I know its coming I'm just not sure when or how. I have always been a person completely against cheating. I never have before and I always looked down on people who did.

But recently I started working at a new job and I am so completely head over heels attracted to one of my coworkers. He is the exact polar opposite of my boyfriend which is why I feel I am so attracted to him. I love my boyfriend so much and I am sure I want to spend the rest of my life with him.

I have not yet hooked up with the man from work but the attraction between us is nearly unbearable. My boyfriend and I do not have a perfect sex life but I am pretty satisfied. I could easily hook up with the man from work and my boyfriend would never find out. I am really torn because I love the relationship I have with my boyfriend because we are so perfect for each other but the attraction to this man is unbareable. I have always been against cheating but I feel like this time I can make an exception but I am worried about the consequences of living with myself if I was to cheat. What should I do??

You guys aren't even married and you're about to cheat! Believe me there are MILLIONS of temptations out there. This guy is but the first. So every time you hit a temptation, you're going to give in and betray the guy you love? And what happens if you get a sexual disease from this guy at work, one he doesn't know he has? How are you going to handle making your fiance ill or even seriously harmed? Are you going to start your relationship with your fiance by betraying and lying to him and maintaining that lie for your entire life?

Cheating is NEVER a good idea. Either you are honest and true to your best friend in life, or you break up with him so he can find a girl who IS honest and true. He deserves that.
