I like a girl but i dont know if the girl that i like likes girls too! so how do i go about to find out whether she is interested or not?

There is ALWAYS a question of finding out if someone likes you, whether it's boy-girl, girl-girl, black-white, jewish-christian, or any other combination of two human beings. And the answer is always the same. You have to spend time with them.
In the grand scheme of things it doesn't matter a lot if someone "likes girls" or not. People who have only dated whites in the past might date a black person that they really like. The relationship that two individuals have together is unique between those two people. It involves how person A feels about person B, not how person A feels about 80 million people on the planet.
So get to be her friend, spend time with her, have fun with her, let her see how much fun you guys can have together. That is the key to seeing how you guys relate to each other, and to seeing if anything else can ever develop.
