Is it True Love?

Visitor's Question from a 13-15 year old Female
My boyfriend and I are in love. But sometimes I don't think his love is true. How can I find out.

RomanceClass.com Advice
First, true love comes after many months of being together - of being there in the good times, the bad times, the truly awful times, the cranky times. It develops over time and is counted just as much by how well you handle the times you fight as it counts the times you gaze into each other's eyes.

If you have been together for that long time and have gone through rough spots, and are still together, and if you can truly tell each other anything, and know that no matter what you do you can go to him and find understanding and support, then you have true love.

True love is judged by actual actions in actual situations, not just by words or hopes for the future. So ask yourself, is he there for me? Does he support me in my dreams? Can I turn to him if I'm upset? That is love.
