Patience..?

Visitor's Question from a 16-20 year old Female
So I met this guy last week. We chatted for about an hour, I guess you could say we flirted, we certainly liked each other in some way or other.

I shall skip all the details, but when we had to leave, we were too rushed for me to gather the courage to ask for his number.. very soon after, I was beating myself up over the fact that I didn't ask. I really liked this guy, and it's anything other than often that that happens with me.

It was quite clear that he wouldn't turn up at that club again, as it isn't his sort of scene, and he was only there for a friend's birthday.

So this week, I track down the person who's birthday it was, and ask him to pass my number onto the guy I had met & to ask him to text me. [I didn't expect the birthday kid to give a random person a friend's number, so we had to leave it at that compromise].

Now, I can't be at that club again for another 2 weeks.. and I can only wait and see if the guy I had met contacts me! Although my major worry is whether the birthday kid may forget to pass on the number..but I won't be able to ask until in two weeks!

Which is very frustrating to me, knowing my hands are bound and I can only wait.
I would much appreciate any advice you can give.

RomanceClass.com Advice
I think this is the kind of situation where you take a moment to see what you can do better next time, and learn from that. In the future, make sure you take a potential new guy's number, or give him yours (or your email). Even if you feel shy at the time, it's worth the effort so you don't have to run around like crazy later, depending on random chance and the whims of others! :)
