Going on a break

Visitor's Question from a 16-20 year old Male
My girlfriend and I have been going out for just over a year. She has been having a strange feeling about something is not right with our relationship after she went to a church group that the topic was relationships. Two nights ago, she kissed another guy passionately. She told me about this the following morning. She said that she feels bad for hurting me and our relationship, but doesn't feel guilty because she doesn't really remember it. She was not intoxicated or anything, just feels like a dream where you just barely remember it. She is my first girlfriend in college and easily my most serious relationship. I think we need to go on a break because I feel like she doesn't love me as much as she did and needs to find out if she does. We have been spending more time together than your typical married couple does. I don't believe I will ever find anyone like her and am terrified of losing her. How am I supposed to act on a break? I just feel lost.

RomanceClass.com Advice
Taking a break is a good idea because you need to figure out how you feel about her. Do you really believe that she doesn't remember kissing this guy? There had to be something leading up to this kiss, does she not remember that also? And how does she know it was a passionate kiss if she doesn't remember it? You need to decide if you can be in a relationship with someone who can kiss a guy, not feel guilty and expect you to be ok with that. You may not be able to find someone like her again, but that's not a bad thing.
