my bf is really shy...

okay so my new boyfriend is pretty shy. we dont know each other that well yet but are trying to become more comfortable around each other b/c right now its awkward. i am his first gf and he's a little shy around me i guess cuz he's new at this? idk. im wondering if im maybe thinking of excuses why it wont work because ive had so many failed relationships in the past. but i dont really know his friends, he has a lot more money than me and i feel uncomfortable, he doesnt have his license so i have to drive him, doesnt share same religious values, and we dont have much to talk about and not really any chemistry. so two questions i guess...1)how do i get him to not be shy around me? 2)should i continue the relationship?

You are a fun, outgoing person so he should become less shy as you spend more time with him. Just keep smiling, laughing, teasing, flirting and eventually he will become more relaxed.

The real problem is the lack of chemistry and the other things you mentioned. Give this a few weeks to see what develops, and if you still feel no chemistry my advice is to start looking for a new boy.
