How do I let go of my anger?

Visitor's Question from a 16-20 year old Male
About half a year ago one of my friends told me that my girlfriend (of one year) might have cheated on me, but when I confronted her about it she seemed hurt I would even think such a thing. About a week later she finally came clean and told me that she in fact had cheated on me. She apologized to me and promised me it would never happen again. I was so sad and angry that I didn't know what to do. I eventually decided to stay with her since she was so sorry for what she did.
I'm feeling so many emotions at the same time. I feel so overwhelmed. I really truly love my girlfriend but I still have so much anger towards her and the guy she cheated on me with. Sometimes I feel like the only way to get rid of it all would be to just leave, but I'm afraid if I did I would still be just as angry. I don't want to feel this way forever. Please help me.

RomanceClass.com Advice
First of all, how did she cheat? If she had sex with another guy then your anger is completely understandable. If she just kissed him then you could still be angry but forgive her.

My advice is to leave her since you still feel these feelings so strongly. Someone else might be able to forget, but you still feel the pain.

Get rid of the pain and find someone new.

Good luck! George
