Am I a creeper?

Visitor's Question from a 21-30 year old Male
I am a student teacher at a college. In a week I will have entered the final grades for all of my students, including one I have taken a liking to. She doesn't seem to hate me either. I was wondering if it would be inappropriate or creepy if I asked her out when she isn't my student. This is both because of a nearly 5 year age difference and because of my former position as her teacher. Furthermore, how should I go about doing so?

RomanceClass.com Advice
First ask your mentor (advisor) for information about College restrictions on teacher/student dating. Explain that, of course, you won't be actively teaching her by the time you ask her. To me it seems reasonable for you to ask her out.

Ask her out on a dinner date and see how it goes. Hopefully you will hit it off great. Just make sure she doesn't take any more of your classes.

Good luck! George
