Well I met this guy like 2 weeks ago and we talked a little. Then I had my friend get his number for me. So I texted him then he called me and we talked for only like 10 minutes. Then, the next day he called me again and this time we talked for like 30 min. He said he'd call me tomorrow when we were saying goodbye, but he didn't seem to really care much about the conversation. Do you think he likes me? Even as a friend?

He wouldn't call you if he didn't like you.
He probably feels a little nervous because you are just beginning to talk. Ask him about his favorite sports and how you score points. Be interested and ask for more details about different tactics for scoring points. This will be something that should be easy for him to talk about.
If sports isn't working the ask him about his family and tell him about yours: siblings, pets, grandparents, vacations, etc.
