how do I get the girl?

There is this girl in one of my classes that has had my attention for a long time. I have a little crush on her but I haven't told her anything, in fact I don't really talk to her, just when she asks me questions on class work. One of the reasons I'm intimidated by her is because she's a senior in high school and im a junior. I also don't know if she has a boyfriend, the fact that she's a little bit older than me is intimidating for me. I want to know how to get to know her better and get closer, but I don't know how to go about doing that. I would like to ask her on a date just to get to know her better, but I don't know how to ask her without being weird. Is there anything I can do or say to blow her away and make her notice me? How can I get the cute girl in my class?
