my ex and i have been together for about 4 years now. she told me she needed time to figure out what she wants. it shocked me! i asked her what i did and she said "nothing, its not you" i trust her but ever since she went back to college she has been acting like she doesnt care. i tell her i love her and she says it back. i am very confused. i want to get her back! i need help. thanks

You have been going out for four years. That is a long time. Why not take advantage of her need for time to get some new experiences. If she is around 21 then she is typical of women who, at that age, feel the need to spread their wings and fly alone for a while.
Give her a month or so. Meanwhile, you should date other women and, who knows, she may be worried and come back to you. If that doesn't happen, you can go to her and say that you two should try to make a go of it again.
