Does he like me

I have been close friends with this guy for over a year now, he has helped me through the thick & thin, I have been there for him too, we have kissed on one occassion, he is not dating anyone neither am I, yesterday I spilled my heart to him about my feelings for him, he has not responded, i'm sure he will he just hasn't, I just wonder if he likes me, we have been such close friends, we hug each other, we talk on the phone, we email each other, we just have never dated or been beyond friends, well he knows that I really like him now and i want to be more than friends, I just wonder what he thinks now??

You can be pretty sure that he doesn't feel as strongly towards you as you feel for him. If he did, he almost certainly would have responded in kind to you.

On the other hand, he didn't immediately say that he just wanted to be friends. So my guess is that his feelings are somewhere in between. Perhaps he is willing to try out a deeper relationship but needs to think about it and how to say it to you.
