Whats up with him?

K theres this boy and ive liked him since 6th and now im going into 8th we use to talk but then he got mean and i pulled away but this year he would always smile and say hi to me but he stop because i wouldnt seem so excited so i felt bad so i said hi to him and i even gave him money and one day he was talking to me and i couldnt hear him so i didnt answer back and he called me a dumb bitch and names behind my back,my mom said cuz he felt stupid for me not answering back. Oh yea and one time he asked for my number and was talkin to me then he asked a girl out. And he asked if i can give him a hug and i said i guess and did. I dont like him anymore.but i wanna know why hes being nice then fake and why hes acting like he is.
