dead-line to a dead-end?

Visitor's Question from a 16-20 year old Female
i met this guy about a month ago, and when i met him, i liked him a little more than i had ever liked anyone else. by the next weekend, i was obsessed, and now i feel like i'm free falling. i can't stop thinking about him, i get butterflies when he text messages me, i scream when he calls. its silly, i feel like a 12 year old girl at a hannah montana concert.
here's the kicker: said prince charming is leaving for the military in about 2 months to be stationed overseas for a couple of YEARS. when he first told me, i cried. he took me to a spot near the river we live by where he goes to escape reality and think, and i cried again.
his friends have told me over and over that he doesn't shut up about me all week (we usually only ever see each other on the weekends because of work). inferring from this, i think we are both on the same page.
here's my problem: i haven't admitted to him that i'm falling for him because i'm afraid that i'll get hurt, or he'll get hurt. is it a waste of time to tell him how i feel? even though i'm almost positive he might already know, i feel like admitting it would be a big step. Advice
Tell him and see what happens.

You may regret it if you don't tell him.

Many romances have lasted for two years of separation.

Good luck! George
