should i say yes?!?

My best friend lets call him "x" keeps askin me out but i don't know wether he is jokin or not. He always hugs me nd is really sweet but he asked me out 4 times b4 4 a joke so i dont no if he is serious. today he kept on holding me round my waist and when i hurt my arm and my leg from playing football he carried me all the way hom nd when we were alone he asked me out again. today he asked me out at least 15 times so i just said i would think about it. if he is serious i dont want to hurt his feelings because i think i like him but if he is joking i dont want 2 seem stupid. he is my best friend and i don't know what i would do without him and now my mom is saying i am spending 2 much tym with him and that i have got to start hanging out with girls but i don't want to he is 2 much fun should i say yes?!?
