I like someone else when I have a boyfriend

Visitor's Question from a 13-15 year old Female
Names are changed...
Ok, so I have my boyfriend, Cameron, and he is really nice, but too shy and will only hug me and like walk with me to class with the occasional, "What's up?" phone call of the week. We have been going out for about 4 weeks or so and people keep telling me "You sure know how to pick them" cause he is kinda weird and embarasses me during band sometimes...So I don't think things will last much longer.

I stayed afterschool one afternoon and this saxaphone player in my band came into a room where I was with two other friends waiting to have a private lesson. He was on the phone and then he hung up and said out loud "Wait...Why am I in here? Yall aren't my friends!...Except maybe you John(some other kid in my band)." He closed the door and left. My heart skipped a beat. I ran out over to him as he was about to leave before he went out the door "Nathan! Can I be your friend?", and he anwsered "Erm...ok." in a kinda shy way.

Later that week I came in one morning to practice my instrument before school. I was in a little practice room with two of my friends next to a bigger one. I walked out and the Nathan came out of the bigger one and we made breif eye contact. I put up my horn and came back as he came out again of the dark practice room with two other guys saying "That was fun". (There is a swivel chair in there and he was being pushed around on it) But me and my two other friends took it the wrong way on purpose and started teasing them about how they were "having fun with each other in a small, dark room".

So later when we had band class I asked him "Have fun this morning?" as he was walking by and paused for a moment saying frustrated in a 'I know you are kidding but I must defend myself' way "Oooh my god, no, yall are just..." as I giggled slightly and he playfully flipped my jackethood over my head.

Yes, I am pretty sure I like Nathan and things are a little bumpy for me and Cameron. What should I do?

RomanceClass.com Advice
First make up your mind for sure.

If you decide you like Nathan then tell Cameron you want to break up. Only after you tell Cameron can you start flirting seriously with Nathan. Or maybe you just want to ask him out. Either is ok.

What you don't want to do is to start with Nathan and afterwards break up with Cameron, that would be cheating.

Good luck! George
