I think I messed up my chances...

There is this boy I fancy in school. I only have one class with him and I have a few lunches with him. I spend a great deal of time staring at him and I'm pretty sure he looks over at me sometimes, then again, it could be my wishful thinking. I told my friend to stick a little sticky note on his back that said I Heart You. It was all in good playful fun. He found out and kind of discarded the note and the next day he wasn't at my lunch where he usually sits (right near me) I think i might've scared him. I wan't to know if I should keep trying to make eye-contact and be friendly, or if I should forget about him and back off? Thankyou...

Maybe he was scared off a bit, but that doesn't mean that he will be that way forever. If he has a little time to think about it he may become more interested in you. Always try to give people a second chance because the first time might catch them off guard.
