Ok..Im ready..need one last piece of advice

I'm basically ready to ask her out, just on the night of the dance, i have a family thing. so i probably cant go. Valentine's day is on the 14th, so...should i do it then, or just whenever? By the way, one year ago from valentine's day, is also the day she found out i like her.

If they can arrange it then ask her immediately.

If you can't go to the dance, then your plans sound fine.
