my and my friend like the same guy (my ex)

Visitor's Question from a 16-20 year old Female
I'm involved in a really complicated situation and it's really hard to explain but I'll try.

It all starts with this guy who I'm good friends with. We started going out just before christmas but about two weeks ago he broke up with me. He said he still likes me and that he feels like when we're together it's too weird because we seem like friends.

I still like him now though and from what he's said, he feels the same way. However, a few days ago my friend dropped a bombshell on me. She told me she likes him. My other friends told me they already knew and one of them said they had a go at her for not telling me first, seeing as she knows I like him too.

It's almost as though she couldn't care less about me and both her and my ex's friend are trying to make me out to be a liar. I told her today that I really like him still and I opened up to her and told her so many reasons why I like him and all she can say is that she likes him. Nothing that she's said makes me feel like she likes him more yet today she was telling me to "get over him".

Me and my friends are getting fed up with her because she's always put boys before us and now she's taking it one step too far. She obviously doesn't value our friendships as much as we value hers. I don't know what to do.

Thanks for listening
Jodie

RomanceClass.com Advice
She is definitely in the wrong.

But you should take immediate steps to cement your relationship with him. Make sure he knows you like him. Also tell him that this other girl likes him too. You want to tell him that so he won't think your were deceiving him later on.

She is going to make her move so you better act quickly.

Good luck! George
