I'm really confused!!

I have liked my freind for a while now and known her for about 2 years now and have told her how i felt but when i asked her if she like me the way i like her she had to think about it for a while and then said "i dont want to destroy our feindship" because she has had some boyfreinds that were real scum i was wondering how i could get closer to her or make her get closer to me and posibly get a relationship started i would apretiate any advie you could give me thanks

My advice is to continue being her friend... try to be her best friend.

Be there when she needs someone to talk to or a shoulder to lean on.

Make sure you talk like a nice person. Don't say bad things about other people or be a wiseacre.

Show her how nice a boy can be and she will take a liking to you.
