i'm dating a widower and have been for nearly 3 years. the thing is i cant get it out of my head that he wishes he was with her instead of me. he still has lots of photos of her around the house, i know he has to because he has a teenage daughter. its the ones of him and her that hurt me, and dont know if i have a future with him.

Not only do you need to know how he feels about his former wife, but also how he feels about you.

It is surprising that after three years you haven't had this talk. Take the bull by the horns and talk to him.
