Wedding bells?

Visitor's Question from a 21-30 year old Female
I have been dating my boyfriend for almost 3 1/2 years now. We have been living together for almost 6 months. Whenever I talk about someone getting married or even dream about what I want for my wedding, my boyfriend always says what's the big deal? Why do people want to get married and what is the point of a diamond ring? I'm not sure what to tell him. I do want to spend the rest of my life with him and he tells me the same thing to me. But how can I let him know he does not have to be afraid of getting married and that's it's a good thing to be married?

RomanceClass.com Advice
He may agree it is a good thing to get married but be afraid of a wedding.

If you want to get married without all the pomp, ceremony, and cost of a formal wedding then tell him you want to get married by a justice of the peace with a gold band for a wedding ring. Followed by a nice vacation.

If you have your heart set on a big wedding etc., you may have to find a new boyfriend who likes those things.

Good luck! George
