Visitor's Question from a 16-20 year old Male
My ex and i dated for really close to a year, and then broke up about a month ago. The relationship overall, went perfectly until about the last month, when arguements happened more frequently and she just plain seemed annoyed of me. Up until that point, we were madly in love, never argued, regularly sexually active, and had a truly great relationship (which is why im shocked it ended so quickly.)
When we broke up, i got reasons such as- she doesnt want a boyfriend at all, shes sick of arguing, and shes tired of dealing with the stress of it.. She claims she has no attraction to me any more, and doesnt see us dating. But she does want a friendship.
The first week after, i made the mistake of crowding her by asking too many questions and just irritated her more, giving her no space. I then backed off quite a bit, but still talked every so often, trying to show that im still there, and being friends was ok with me for a while.. But every time since then she's found random reasons to get mad at me and push me away by saying we shouldn't talk.
Basically, im extremely confused by all this, and i really think she is too. This is mainly because it was her first relationship, and first time dealing with love. She never seemed immature about it at all until now.
I still love her, and i feel like she loves me too, and is just hiding it because shes afraid this will be her only relationship. Is that a bad thing to guess?
I want to be with her, and i am wondering if that will happen again if she continues to act this way.
Will she ever come back to me?
Is she just confused about herself?
Is there anything i can do?
She gave you the answers and she doesn't sound confused.
She doesn't want a boyfriend, she's sick of arguing, she's stressed out by it, and she has no attraction to you. You irritated her by overcrowding her and now she finds random reason to get mad at you when you call and she says you shouldn't talk any more.
You are looking for some other answer like she is confused but she seems very clear to me.
I don't think she will come back to you unless by a miracle she changes her mind after you cut off all the ties.
In any case, it is time to cut the ties and look for someone else. There are hundreds of attractive girls out there looking for someone like you.
Good luck! George
