Uncharted Territory

Visitor's Question from a 21-30 year old Female
Recently I really hit it off with this girl I met while hanging out with friends. We see each other maybe once a week since then but we try to see each other more often. I'm tempted to try to hold her hand or put my hand on her shoulder, basically just to see if it's time to take the next step. I've heard that you will know the right time but this isn't a new feeling and I've certainly been wrong in the past. This is the farthest I've ever been in a relationship and as a result this is uncharted territory. A little advice would be nice.
