Should I talk to her?

K this is kind of a long one!! so bare with me lol

i like this girl for about a year now, be4 i talked to her but u know, i didnt talk to her alot. we never had any serious conversations, so she doesnt know me and i dont know her that well.

i told my buddy that i liked her and i asked him to talk to her for me since he was friends with her....he talked to her and he told me she liked me. but really he was lying and he didnt even talk to her. then i felt kind of weird cuz for about 2 weeks i went on thinking she liked me but really she didnt. and for sum reason now i like her even more!...i cant talk to her cuz i feel weird talkin to her. ur probabaly thinkin i sound kind of dorky rite now.......
i know she knows that i like her but im wayyy to shy to make the first move! i dont knw if she likes me cuz i see her looking at me sumtimes and when i look at her she looks away quickly, plus there was a rumour going around she liked me but it prolly wasnt true...so my question is....

1.should i talk to her personaly?
2.should i talk to her on the net to build more confidence?
3. should i talk to fer freinds first and hopefully start talkin to her?

i think u give good advice and hopefully u can give me sum good advice!!

First, YES YES YES talk to her personally!! NEVER send someone else to talk to a person you care for. The whole point of talking is to build up the relationship between you and her. That is a friendship that builds slowly over many months. There isn't any purpose at all in sending someone else. What if they decide they like this other person!!

I have entire pages of hints about how to talk to people. Read through the site. But really, it comes down to FRIENDSHIP. You want to be FRIENDS with this person. Every human has the need to be understood, to be cared for, to have their hobbies and interests be of interest. So show your interest! Find out what she likes. Talk to her about it! She likes cats, talk about cats. She likes sci-fi, talk about sci-fi. The web has trillions of pages on every topic. You can easily find things to talk about no matter how strange her interests in.

The only way you can ever know if you REALLY like her is to talk to her. You can't go on what you "think" she's like. You can only go on what she is REALLY like. It's time to find out for yourself - and you may be very surprised! Often what someone seems to be like is VERY different than what they are really like. But you can only find out by talking to them.
