A girl I would like to talk with in my Calculus class!!

I have this little dilemma that I was wondering if someone could help me with. I just started my Fall semster in college, and in my Calculus class there is this girl that sits right in front of me. Are professor passed out are syllabus, and she wanted us to get 5 students contact information, so the girl in front of me I had her put her contact information down. But my question is how do I go about talking with her, without sounding cheesy? I want to keep it strictly friends for now but would really like to talk with her? Any advice would really be great thanks a lot!!
