help!

my boyfriend for a year off and on and i really love each other. as far as i know i was the only one that ever cheated and those times we were off and he is aware of all times. but i have always been carefull enough to not bring home any std's. just recently i went to the doctor and they told me that i had an std. but i got it from him and i know it because i was always carefull and he has been my only sex partner for the last few months. i don't know how to tell him he has this without him thinking that i passed it. and i don't want it to hurt our relationship more than it has been. should i play it off and say lets go to the doctor together or what? that won't work because its a little to late in our relationship for that. we should have been did that. what do i do? please help

You can't be sure you got it from him.

It is possible you got it from an earlier partner and then the disease remained hidden until it showed itself. Also, it is possible that your BF is not infected if you used safe sex with him.

At any rate, tell him you have it and suggest he get himself tested.
