Try again, or give up?

Visitor's Question from a 13-15 year old Male
Well, sorry, didn't take your previous advice. Why? I waited too long... Here's the story: My crush's good friend told me that she just started liking someone else (She used to like me..). MY good friend, didn't believe it, so he asked my crush himself. It was true.

He got mad at her, because he knows I really really love her, and it turned into quite an argument. She didn't understand some of the things he was saying, so when I got her alone, I explained, confessing how I felt about her in the process. She told me that we were best friends now, and she wouldn't want to ruin that friendship (If we got together, but then broke up it could end the friendship). I understood this fine, and agreed to stay best friends. It isn't akward at all, we even make jokes about it.
But, the thing is, I still want her. The guy that she currently likes is a year older than us, so it's likely it won't last long...
Do you think that this is just a lost cause, or that I should continue to persue her? Thanks.

Remain her good friend and when things change with her new cruch, you will be there waiting for her. Just have patience.

Good luck! George
