How can i get her back??

So i know this girl for about 4 years and we have been friends for about the first 2-3 years..We actually got really close to each other and became best friends and after a while started dating each other..she broke up wid her boyfriend(2-4 month relationship) and started going out wid me. after 7 months of dating wid me she wanted to break up cause she missed her ex. alot. now she just wants to be bestfriends wid me..she says she doesnt love me like she loves her ex..she wants to go back to him(i think he wants that too)..how do i get back wid her? should i just stay as her bestfriend?? ( we have spent alot of times together and i really love her, i tried to forget her but its really hard, i just want her back) Should i give her some space? or wutt?? She said she cant live without me or him but only wants me as her bestfried!
