a small clue

Visitor's Question from a 13-15 year old Male
Now, you've heard from me before. But this time i'm certian you have no info on this. A week and a half ago was my birthday, and my ex-girlfriend actually remembered my birthday. She called me and sang happy birthday to me. We talked for awhile and then hung up. Later that night, my mom came in to my room and said i've got a e-mail from _____'s mom, and she said "_____" remembered your birthday. I said yea, I know. Then she goes, i bet you ten bucks that nine weeks into the school year, she'll get back together with you. And i go probably not. That's it. i'm not certisn if she wants to get back together or if she was being nice. But other stuff has happenied too, like when we went to the movies with some friends, she sat next to me and asked if we could hold hands. I.m really confused, does she want to get back together or just being really good friends.
All your advice will be greatly appreciated.

The summer will be boring without a GF so why not ask her out for a walk or picnic, movies or bowling, or just hanging out.
