Need help!

Visitor's Question from a 16-20 year old Female
Ok..I'm a VERY shy girl. I've liked this guy named Michael for a school year. However, i've always been too shy to talk to him.I've gotten his friends to ask what he thinks about me and I've gotten positive answers back like him telling them that he does like me and would ask me out if we got to know each other more. School year is over right. I got a myspace and now we just talk casually over it. I need help! How can I get his attention? Are there any kind of talking exercises you can reccommend to make me more outgoing? What kinds of things should I say to keep our conversations fun? I know he likes football and skateboarding.

One good way to have fun conversations is to keep the topic on the other person.

In other words ask them questions about themselves, their family, friends, pets, hobbies, sports, vacations, tomorrow, and the list goes on almost to infinity. Be sure to pay attention to what he is saying or it won't be worth while. Have things to say like "So do I" or "That's cool" or "wonder why that is."

Practice doing this online and pretty soon you will feel comfortable talking in person.
